Quirky and iconic, Noah Ark is set in the heart of the Aberdare National Park, in Nyeri. The lodge overlooks a watering hole and salt lick, attracting a variety of wildlife, and features four viewing areas, including a ground-level bunker.

The rooms at Noah Ark are modelled after cabins, and each comes with a private bathroom with a shower and free toiletries. Free WiFi is available in the public areas.

Breakfast and dinner are served in the on-site restaurant, as either a buffet or set-menu offering, while lunch is served at The Ark's sister property. Lunch can be organised at Noah Ark by prior arrangement. Guests can also enjoy a drink from the bar.

The park entrance fees need to be purchased from the KWS office in Nairobi or you by credit card charged up on entry at the gate.

The Ark's is sister property of Aberdare Country Club, you are expected to arrive for lunch at Aberdare Country Club and then lodge vehicle will transfer you to The Ark for dinner and overnight.

Only bag pack are allowed, excess luggage shall be stored overnight at the reception of Aberdare Country club.

Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

I enjoyed it very much! I’d definitely stay there again.
Location and ambience of the hotel. Staff were lovely. I really enjoyed the viewing areas, especially since the weather wasn’t good. I could watch the elephants from a cozy indoor space.

What was the highlight of The Ark Lodge
The Ark is the perfect hotel when visiting the Aberdare park.
The Ark is a fantastic place, food was really nice, staff friendly and of course the location completely fantastic in the middle of the Abardare National park.
Checking in and having lunch at the country club in Mweiga is something that we cannot recommend. Although it is supposed to be included in the package you are charged heavily for water, juice and coffee (the most expensive in Kenya). We also were not informed that we had to go to the National Park authorities prior to checking in at the club so we had to drive back to the park offices. We therefore decided to skip the included transport and buy a game drive that took us to the park with a stop at the park offices to sort out formalities. In previous visits to the Ark we checked in directly at the hotel and found that much cheaper and overall better experience.
